Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Iowans have the chance to hear president of ESPN Inc. and ABC Sports lead a town-hall style discussion.

George Bodenheimer, president of ESPN and co-chairman for Disney Media Networks, will be in Cedar Rapids on Friday.

He has been invited by Mediacom to speak to corridor-area business leaders, sports enthusiasts and the public on the topic "Big Idea from a Small Town."

Doug Frank, Cedar Rapids resident and regional vice president for Mediacom, was Bodenheimer's college roommate. Frank is hosting the special event, along with community leaders.

The town-hall style discussion and reception will be at:

  • Cedar Rapids County Club
  • 550 27th Street Drive S.E.
  • Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Proceeds from the admission fee will be given to the Children's Miracle Network at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital.
