WATERLOO, Iowa — Cuts suffered by two men during a Monday night fight were made with a razor, according to police.

Officers were called to 133 Lobdell Road at about at about 10:50 p.m. and found Harold Adams, 25, with a laceration to his forehead, and Kenneth Horton, 50, with cuts on his hands.

On Wednesday morning officers arrested Scott Edward Schrage, 28, of 1148 Lincoln St., at his home on charges of two counts of willful injury causing serious injury. Bond was set at $50,000.

Court records allege Schrage was the Hortons’ home when he became involved in fight with another person and then cut the two with a straight razor.

Police said a van outside the house had four slashed tires, and there was a report of a gunshot being fired.

Both victims had injuries that required stitches, court records state.

UPDATE: Waterloo Police this morning (Wednesday), arrested a man in connection with a stabbing and shooting at 133 Lobdell Road Sunday night, where two people were hurt.

Arrested was Scott Edward Schrage, 28, of 1148 Lincoln St., Waterloo at his residence without incident. He is charged with willful serious iInjury. He taken to the Black Hawk County Jail and held on $50,000.00 bond.


WATERLOO, Iowa — The investigation continues into the stabbing and shooting at a residence on Lobdell Road Monday night.

Police were called to the residence at 133 Lobdell Road about 10:50 p.m. on a report of a stabbing and shooting.

Two people were found injured. They were identified as Harold W.P. Adams, 25, of 133 Lobdell Road, who had a laceration to his forehead, and Kenneth R. Horton, 50, same address, who had lacerations to his hands.

Both were taken to Covenant Medical Center by private vehicle.

Police said a suspect used a utility knife to cut the victims. The suspect slashed all four tires on a ford van parked outside, and fired a shot from a handgun before leaving the area.

The suspect remains at large.


WATERLOO, Iowa — Two people were treated for minor stab wounds following an assault at a Waterloo home Monday night.

Identities of the injured and further details weren’t available.

The attack happened at about 11 p.m. at a house at 133 Lobdell Drive. Authorities said the injuries aren’t considered life threatening.

The suspect fled before police arrived, and officers began combing the area.

    Home invasion? Even if it was "friend" these victims need firearms of self defense. Obviously someone that violent is likely to attack you if you press charges. Most likely the attacker will be one the streets awaiting trial. This is the same reason rape victims need firearms. Their attacker will be able to kill them if the they press charges. UNLESS they have self defense firearms.
