WATERLOO — First Presbyterian Church is continuing its series of presentations this fall on current health care issues faced by aging populations.
The sessions will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Oct. 24, with a different topic featured each night.
The programs will be in Calvin Hall at the church, 505 Franklin St. The public is welcome to attend at no cost.
The remaining program schedule includes:
Tuesday — “Transitioning to Facilities.”
Oct. 24 — “Elder Abuse.”

WATERLOO — The Catholic Parishes in Waterloo will host a Rosary Rally at noon Saturday in Lincoln Park.
The rally will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the reported appearance of Mary in Portugal. The rosary will be prayed simultaneously in English, Spanish, Burmese and French.
Refreshments will follow in Scallon Hall at Queen of Peace Parish. In case of rain, the rally will be at the church.
WATERLOO — Friends in Faith, the singles ministry of the Catholic parishes in Waterloo, will sponsor a Singles Mingle for single Catholics, ages 35 and older, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Falls Family Restaurant.

CEDAR FALLS — There will be nondenominational Bible talks at the Cedar Falls Municipal Band Hall, 211 Washington St., from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Following talks are set for 3 to 4 p.m. Oct. 22 and 29 and Nov. 5, 12 and 19.
Additional Bible talks will be at the Elk Run Heights Community Center, (back side of City Hall), 5042 Lafayette Road, each Wednesday, starting from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Nov. 15.

WATERLOO — St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 2024 Clearview St., will celebrate its 37th year anniversary at 7 p.m. today, with the Rev. Percy Thomas of Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church as guest speaker.
The anniversary will close out Sunday at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The 11 a.m. speaker will be Dr. Kenneth Adderley of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, and the 4 p.m. speaker will be the pastor and Eastern District Moderator, the Rev. Michael Coleman of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Other area churches will participate both days.
