WAVERLY, Iowa --- More than 500 high school students are expected to visit Wartburg College during Iowa Private College Week, Aug. 1-5.

Iowa Private College Week enables prospective students to learn about academic programs, student life and financial aid at each of the 28 Iowa private colleges. Wartburg annually ranks first or second in student visits during the event. More than a third of those high school seniors eventually enroll at Wartburg.

Tours and information will be offered daily at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at each campus. In addition, all students visiting Wartburg have the unique opportunity to be on a personalized cover of the college's "Viewbook" magazine, which provides prospective students with information about the school and financial aid.

After a visit to each college, students will receive a stamp on their IPCW "passport." Those with three or more stamps will be eligible for one of two $500 bookstore vouchers awarded at the college where they enroll.

A partnership with Casey's General Stores will provide families presenting an IPCW passport a discount of 5-cents per gallon on gasoline throughout the week on purchases up to 30 gallons per day.

Students can register at www.wartburg.edu/admissions/ipcw.html or by calling 800 772-2085.
