EVANSDALE -- Michael G. Cox III, 19, of Evansdale, died at home Feb. 18.
He was born July 16, 1998, in Waterloo, son of Michael Gene Cox II and Kathy Louise Hardy.
Michael worked as a welder and fabricator.
Survived by: his fiancee, Kara Koob of Evansdale; his mother and stepfather, Kathy and Matt Watters of Evansdale; his sister, Michaela Jean Cox of Cedar Falls; his grandparents, Jerry and Jackie Hardy of Cedar Falls, Larry and Kathy Volbruck of Orion, Ill., and Michael and Joleen Cox of Janesville; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Preceded in death by: his father; his grandmother and great-grandparents.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, Waterloo, with private family burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 9, and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

He loved to work on cars, trucks and showing cars with his dad. He liked to go hunting and fishing, enjoyed skateboarding, mud bogging and going on the airboat with his grandfather. Michael was a jokester and he loved to make people laugh.
