NEW HAMPTON — Kenneth W. Miller, 84, of New Hampton, died Friday, Aug. 2, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
He was born July 27, 1929, in Elkader, son of Lawrence and Freda Kraus Miller.
Mr. Miller graduated from Central Elkader High School. He was a general contractor for 58 years, responsible for many of the homes built in New Hampton. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton, the American Legion and West Union Lodge and an active member of the Masons and Shrine.
Survived by: a sister, Ruth (Richard) Koehn of Mount Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: his parents; wives Madonna and Maggie; and a brother Lawrence Jr. (Eunice).
Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Conway-Markham Funeral Home, New Hampton, with visitation for an hour before services at the funeral home.

He was always proud of the success of the athletic teams he played on. Kenny was drafted and served during the Korean War serving his country as a medic and was a real patriot. He enjoyed his time on the Mississippi in Prairie du Chien, Wis., and his dogs Curly and Spotty.
