WATERLOO — Jessie Elaine Clark Stawicki Cone, 89, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, Sept. 12, after a stroke and short battle with cancer.
She was born to Milton Charles and Alice Jane Beaumont Clark in Marietta Township in Crawford County near Steuben, Wis. She married Edward Stawicki 1952 in Madison, Wis., and they later divorced. She then married Robert M. Cone Jr., and he preceded her in death.
She attended Wauzeka, Steuben and Boscobel high schools in Wisconsin. Later on she went to work at Mendota State Hospital in Madison. She found a position at the Madison Post Office and worked there for 11 years. She also worked for Harmony Health Care in Waterloo for eight years and retired in 1996.
Survived by: a son, Edward (Laurie) Stawicki Jr. of Waterloo; a daughter-in-law, Shelia Stawicki of Scottsboro, Ala.; her stepchildren, Faydillis Ganzerla of Mesa, Ariz., Pamela Uyttebrock of Oceanside, Calif., and Roger Cone of Payson, Ariz.; a sister, Freda (Marlin) Teschendorf of Madison; seven grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, step family members; and her friends, Shirley Beatie and Ilyf Reynolds, both of Boscobel, Wis.
Preceded in death by: her parents; a son, James D. Stawicki; a brother, Ralph Clark; four sisters, Cleo O’Kane, Claire Morton, Olive Coe and Ruby Bennett; two infant sisters, Opal and Myna Clark; a granddaughter, Melissa (Stawicki) Swinford; two brothers-in-law, William and George Cone; three sisters-in-law, Vera Stuber, Evelyn Grant and Katherine Waterman; and a stepchild, Mary Jane Hild.
Services: 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, preceded by two hours of visitation. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo at a later date.

Later after retirement and the death of Robert Cone, Jessie was introduced to the Truth by her sister, Cleo, in 2001. In 2003 Jessie professed her faith and was baptized. She was very happy. Happy with her church, family and friends.
