WATERLOO — Jack D. Briner, 74, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, Sept. 27.
He was born June 9, 1938, in Waterloo, son of Paul and Marguerite O’Toole Briner. He married Marilyn Dean on Aug. 3, 1963, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Waterloo.
He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1956 and from Upper Iowa University in 1963, majoring in business and history. Mr. Briner was employed with John Deere for 26 years, retiring Jan. 27, 1993, as a quality audit supervisor.
Survived by: his wife; a daughter, Michelle Briner of Waterloo; a son, Jon Paul (Tricia) of Independence; and a granddaughter, Zoey Briner.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Monday at the church.
