CEDAR FALLS — Floyd C. Danielson, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Hershey, Neb., son of Alfred and Alice Runner Danielson. He married Karen Tillotson on Jan. 24, 1954, in Cheyenne, Wyo.
Mr. Danielson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a mechanical engineer at John Deere & Co., retiring in 1984.
Survived by: his wife; a son, Lyle (Linda) of Johnston; three daughters, Lynn (Wayne) Hanson of Menomonie, Wis., Shelley (Debbie Young) Danielson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mary Sieker of Littleton, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Danielle (Scott) Hagberg, Erin (Justin Nelson) Danielson, Megan Danielson, Derek Danielson, Justin Sieker, Andrea Sieker and Jeremy Sieker; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: two brothers, Lyle and Alvin; and a sister, Dorothy Miller.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, Waterloo, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, at a later date. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
