WATERLOO — Elma Jackson, 89, of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 1, at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls of natural causes.
She was born Dec. 20, 1928, in DeWitt, Ark., daughter of Everett O. and Lula (Duncan) Lewis. She married Jay Merle Jackson on May 23, 1953, in Waterloo; he died May 18, 1975.
Survived by: a daughter, Cinda (Terry) Jeffers Jr. of Waterloo; a sister, Gladys (Gerald) Sturgill of Waterloo; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a brother, Earl Lewis; and a sister, Judith Reed.
Graveside services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 8, in Elmwood Cemetery. Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
