WASHBURN — Ellamae Stattelman, 74, of Washburn, died Friday, Feb. 2, at NorthCrest Specialty Care, Waterloo.

She was born March 19, 1943, in Waterloo, daughter of Myron and Katherine “Kay” (Frickson) Huppert. Ellamae graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1962. She married Earl Stattelman on Oct. 14, 1961, in Preston, Minn.

Ellamae owned and operated El’s Upholstery for more than 30 years, retiring in 2006.

Survivors: her husband; a daughter, Terry (Duane) Wooden of Hudson; two sons, Patrick Stattelman of Washburn and Allan (Bonnie) Stattelman of Lakeland, Fla.; two grandchildren, Bradley Wooden of Hudson and Stephanie (Jared) Hoppe of Washburn; three great-grandchildren, Eli Freeman, Ava and Dallas Hoppe.

Preceded in death by: her parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave., Waterloo, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, and an hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the chapel.

She sewed all her own clothing and her daughter’s clothing. Ellamae enjoyed flower gardening, watching hummingbirds and for several years she raised mallard ducks for the family pond. Ellamae loved being a homemaker and treasured time spent with her grandchildren.
