DYSART - Dorothy Darlene Elliott, 83, of Dysart, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Sunnycrest Care Center, Dysart, of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 11, 1928, in Grinnell, daughter of Homer and Mae Stahl Sears. On Aug. 27, 1950, she married Dean Robert Elliott at Geneseo United Methodist Church. He died Jan. 13, 1992.

Mrs. Elliott graduated from Geneseo High School. She and her husband farmed near Dysart for many years. She was a member of Dysart United Methodist Church.

Survived by: two sons, Robert D. (Vada) of Dysart and Bret A. (Julie) of Buckingham; a daughter, Marilyn (Bob) Popenhagen of Cambridge; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Art (Beth) Sears of Hiawatha, Kan.; two sisters, Rhoda Wilkinson of Fayette and Wilma Holub of Buckingham; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Sears and Shirley Sears, both of Grinnell; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Ruth Temple and Lois Danker; three brothers, Donald, Edgar and Kenneth Sears; four brothers-in-law, Keith Wilkinson, Norman Holub, Kenneth Temple and Bill Danker; and a sister-in-law, Eugenia Sears.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dysart United Methodist Church, with burial in Dysart Cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Overton Funeral Home, Dysart.

Memorial fund: is being established.
