WATERLOO — Dennis D. Dumler, 69, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, April 12, of renal cell carcinoma.
He was born Aug. 5, 1948, in Waterloo, son of Henry and Orphia Meyer Dumler. He married Becky Satterlee on Aug. 25, 1973, in Waterloo. He graduated from West High School in 1966 and worked at Henry Standard Station, John Deere until 1985, and then at Bertch Cabinets from 1989 until retirement in 2011. Dennis was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors: his wife; a son, David Dumler of Waterloo; two daughters Debra (Tony) Kisch and Kate Bolick, both of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Morgan and Ellie Kisch, Carter and Bennett Bolick, and Henry Dumler; and a brother, Gary (Judy) Dumler of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: his parents; a son Andrew Dumler; grandchildren, Andrew and Avery Bolick; a sister, Sharon Bowling (died Saturday, April 14, 2018); and a brother-in-law, Bob Bowling.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1024 W. Eighth St., Waterloo, with private family burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Locke Funeral Home.

His hobby was woodworking and he made furniture for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed golf, the Chicago Cubs, helping others, and was a hard working family man.
