Daniel Butterfield (1985-2009)

TOLEDO — Daniel Butterfield, 24, of Toledo, died at his home Saturday, Nov. 7.

He was born May 25, 1985, in Waterloo, son of Virgil and Kristine Barnes Butterfield. On Feb. 29, 2008, he married Petrice Painter.

Mr. Butterfield graduated from South Tama High School in 2003 and had worked as a bingo caller at Meskwaki Casino, Tama.

Survived by: his wife; a daughter, Emma Hendricksen of Osceola; his parents, Virgil and Luann Butterfield of Waterloo, and Kristine Butterfield and Craig Willaby of Tama; a brother, Matt of Waterloo; two stepsisters, Kallie Willaby and Jessica DeWater; and maternal grandmother, Virginia Barnes of Reinbeck.

Preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, Wilbur and Fern Butterfield; and maternal grandfather, Kenneth Barnes.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Reinbeck. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at French Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck, with family present.
