Thanks from St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul would like to thank:
- International Paper
- Hy-Vee on Logan and the Food Bank
- Varsity Cleaners
- College Square Mall
- The Pavilion
- Cedar Falls Exchange Club Toys for Tots Program and St. Patrick Church for toys
- Barbara Smith and Karon Block for hats, mittens, blankets, scarves and Christmas stockings
- The Columbus students for their generous donation of money, food and their assistance with assembling boxes and transporting items to the Pavilion
We were able to help 440 families with a Christmas food box.
Toys were given to 550 children. They also received stocking stuffers, books, stuffed animals, Christmas stockings, mittens, hats, blankets and socks.
To all the volunteers who helped with the sign-ups, set up the toys, filled the food boxes, gift-wrapped presents, gave assistance to those who needed it, the cleanup crew, those who carried out the boxes and those who delivered them, we appreciate you and value your service. To those who wish to remain anonymous, thank you.
To the Knights of Columbus and all volunteers, Blessing to you in this New Year. We could not have done this without you. The Community of the Cedar Valley, your giving to the Toys for Tots program is appreciated. Thank you all for helping us to help others.
