JACI HAMLETT and SHELLY ROBB have been promoted at Veridian Credit Union. Hamlett, a Manchester native, has been promoted to branch manager at the Independence location. She has worked at Veridian for six years and previously was the branch manager of Veridian’s location in Oelwein. She has a degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa. Robb has been promoted to payment systems analyst. Robb, a La Porte City resident, has worked at Veridian for nearly 21 years and previously was the branch manager of its Cedar Heights branch. She has a degree from UNI.

JENI GROUWS, Decorah Broadcasting Inc.’s KDEC Radio Station manager and morning show host, was named by the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio as the 2017 MIW Rising Star during the Rising Through the Rank’s 2017 program held in August at Broadcast Music Inc.’s Nashville offices.

FAEZEH JAHANMIRI-NEZHAD has joined DISTek as a software engineer. She was most recently a data scientist with iTR Diagnostics, as well as a statistics instructor at Hawkeye Community College. She was also an adjunct instructor for Industrial Instrumentation and Computer Interfacing at the University of Northern Iowa. She has a BS in biomedical engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran; a MS in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada; and a PhD in bioengineering, neural engineering at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

VGM’s HOMELINK division has added three new associates to its team. McKENNA KUHLMANN is a transportation patient care coordinator and graduate of Coe College. ASHLEY GRAFF works in accounts receivable. She previously worked for Warren Transport Inc. PAIGE WILKEN has joined the team as a DME patient care coordinator.

MARNIE WILKES has joined Humble Travel as a travel adviser. Wilkes, of Waterloo, has her travel agent degree, and is certified in many destinations.

JORDAN HENDRICKSON has joined the team at Brad Jacobson State Farm Insurance as a marketing associate. Jordan, a native of the Cedar Valley and a recent graduate of Loras College, has a background in customer service.

Dalton Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electric and Fireplaces Inc. announces four new hires: JOHN ABBOTT, BRAD PIEPER, JORDAN SCHMITZ and DUANE WILSON. Abbott is a veteran HVAC technician and brings more than 30 years’ experience to Dalton; Pieper is a level 1 HVAC technician and is currently working towards his HVAC certification; Schmitz is new to the industry and was hired as a level 1 apprentice; and Wilson is a level 1 plumbing technician with eight months experience in this industry.

LINDA WEBER has joined TCF Equipment Finance as a customer service representative. She previously was with Ocwen Financial Corp.

New faculty at Upper Iowa University in Fayette include: DENNIS RUPPE, of Cedar Falls, will serve as a lecturer of mathematics. He has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from State University of New York, and a master’s and Ph.D. in mathematics from University at Buffalo. Ruppe was previously with Scientific Games Interactive in Cedar Falls. GARY SAGER, of Riverside, comes to UIU from Kirkwood Community College, where he was a student development and human relations instructor. Sager will serve as a lecturer of psychology. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lakeland College, and a master’s degree in counseling and doctorate of education in counseling psychology from Northern Arizona University. MARIEA SCHNOR, of Fairbank, has been named assistant professor of accounting at the Fayette Campus. A 2013 graduate of UIU, Schnor has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master of business administration degree. She most recently served as an adjunct accounting instructor at the University Northern Iowa and as a finance specialist for Full Circle Services Inc. in Independence.
