PAT GEBEL has been named president and chief operations officer of State Bank, New Hampton. MATTHEW ERICSON, a Cedar Falls native, was named assistant managing editor of the New York Times. For the past two years, he’s been an associate editor and graphics director.
KARA SHUGAR-DAVIS and DEB DRALLE were promoted at Community Bank & Trust. Shugar-Davis was promoted to officer, has been with the bank for 10 years and is branch manager at the Cedar Falls office location. Dralle is assistant vice president, has been with the bank for 13 years and has more than 25 years of banking and customer service experience.
JOHN RIGLER II was named board chairman of Green Circle Investments and chief executive officer of Peoples Trust & Savings Bank. Rigler is chairman of Rigler Investments Co. and chief executive officer of Rigler Investment Co.-owned, State Bank, out of northeast Iowa.
JOHN RIGLER III, a New Hampton native, was named board chairman and CEO of Peoples Trust & Savings Bank. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1999 and has an MBA at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management in addition to a BBA at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned a CCIM designation in 2016.
CATHERINE RUSTHOVEN and JEFF KENNEDY were promoted at CBE. Rusthoven, who has been with CBE since 2013, is a software developer I. Kennedy is a software developer II and has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Northern Iowa.
ALEX OBERLE, University of Northern Iowa associate professor of geography and coordinator for the Geographic Alliance of Iowa, was named a National Geographic Education Fellow by the National Geographic Society for the 2017-18 academic year.
MACKENSIE DAVIS was promoted at Veridian Credit Union to learning and development specialist. Davis, of Waterloo, was a loan interviewer, has a marketing degree with a minor in Spanish from Arkansas State University and is a ministry leader at Cedar Heights Baptist Church.
NICK PODHASKI, MIKE ATKINS and KYLE SIENKNECHT were promoted at KRYTON. Podhaski is production manager and has been with KRYTON for seven years. Atkins is a shipping/receiving lead. Sienknecht has been promoted to scheduler and was an intern from the University of Northern Iowa.
