SCOTT HARRIS was named executive director at Pilgrim Heights Camp and Retreat Center in Montour. A native of Vinton and a graduate of Iowa State University, Harris has more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience.

DEAN ZELLE of Fortress Benefit Services Corp. of Waverly was recognized by KHI Solutions with the 2016 Partners in Excellence Grow Your Business and Diamond Level Achievement Awards for sales production and retention.

LISA KREMER joined Buchanan County Economic Development Commission as communication manager. Kremer, of Independence, graduated from Loras College in 1990 and was the program manager for Main Street in Hampton and the economic development director for Worth and Winnebago Counties (Win-Worth Betco).

RACHAEL WIEBKE of Waverly was promoted to personal banking officer at First National Bank. Wiebke has been with FNB since 2011 and has her business administration degree from Wartburg College, graduating in 2012.

Wartburg College professor ANDREA ESLICK received the 2017 John O. Chellevold Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and Professional Service. Other honorees include BRET BILLET, professor of political science, Adviser of the Year Award; the Rev. RAMONA BOUZARD, Herbert & Cora Moehlmann Chaplaincy Chair, Outstanding Administrative Staff Award; and BERNARD HOLLAND, security officer, Outstanding Non-Administrative Staff Award.

STEPHANIE ROTTINGHAUS was promoted to marketing manager at Advanced Heat Treat Corp., Waterloo. She has more than 15 years of marketing experience, is a graduate of Upper Iowa University and received an associate in applied science degree from Hawkeye Community College.
